CK Mobile Equine Services
Cyndi Kasper, DVM
Dr. Kasper received her training at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Saskatoon, in 1991.
She supplemented her basic training with a Surgical Internship at WCVM in 1992. She became one of Manitoba’s only certified Veterinary Accupuncturists in 1996. Her diagnostic skill in equine lameness is enhanced by the use of Ultrasound and Digital Radiography. Treatment avenues have been greatly expanded with the recent addition of a Shockwave Therapy machine.
Dr. Kasper’s focus on Sport Horse Medicine is balanced by an avid interest in equine reproduction, specializing in cooled and frozen artificial insemination. Although her catchment area is primarily Winnipeg and surrounding communities such as Oak Bank, her specialty in reproduction often draws her far away from home, thus providing the inspiration for the name of her company, CK Mobile Equine Services. In fact, Dr. Kasper is a regular lecturer at the St. George’s University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, and maintains membership in the American Association of Equine Practioners.
When asked to describe her philosophy of care, Dr. Kasper states simply that she strives
"to do what is best for the animal, and to treat the “whole” horse”.
